Quindi sono già due.

Mi ricordo molto chiaramente una domenica di alcuni anni fa. Mi trovavo con Olti nella biblioteca Ariostea di Ferrara. Olti non portava la barba e neanche fumava. Al tempo non aveva un portafoglio, e credo che non c’è l’abbia tutt’ora. Manteneva i soldi in mezzo alla carta di identità, e il fatto che non usasse il portafoglio mi irritava oltre modo, lo prendevo come un’offesa personale. Aveva una carta d’identità completamente sgualcita che credo lavasse regolarmente insieme ai pantaloni. E’ quanto meno inquietante che io mi ricordi tutto ciò. Ricordo anche in modo stranamente limpido come mi spiegò quello che intendeva fare, un sito di notizie ed opinioni sull’Albania.

I deputati chiedono una migliore politica d’integrazione dei Rom

I fondi europei destinati all’integrazione dei Rom dovrebbero essere meglio utilizzati, secondo i deputati europei. Con dieci milioni di persone, i Rom rappresentano la più grande minoranza etnica dell’Europea, ma sono spesso discriminati ed emarginati.

Mentre si avvicina il secondo Vertice europeo dei Rom, che si terrà il prossimo 8 aprile a Cordova, i deputati voteranno una risoluzione sulla questione giovedì.

Questo voto segue un’interrogazione orale del gruppo S&D, discussa durante la scorsa sessione plenaria. Secondo i deputati, i fondi europei che dovrebbero favorire l’integrazione dei Rom hanno solo un "effetto limitato" sul campo. Inoltre, essi sottolineano il fatto che i Rom continuino ad essere vittime di un’emarginazione sia palese che implicita, e sono affetti da un tasso di disoccupazione molto più elevato del resto della popolazione europea.
