- EXPERT, EEF, METINVEST INVITE ALL TO SEMINAR ON ROLE OF BUSINESS IN REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Business magazine Expert and EEF invite the public to take part in a practical seminar on the role of socially responsible businesses in regional sustainable development which will take place 14 September in Dnipropetrovsk. The seminar is being organized by Expert and EEF along with official partner Metinvest in support of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council.
- FOXTROT, KOMSOMOLSKAYA PRAVDA IN UKRAINE, SAI TO TEACH STUDENTS ROAD SAFETY
On 2 September Kyiv students received an unusual lesson on road safety as part of an event “Lesson of security” that took place in the Ukraine Palace concert hall. The lesson is a part of an annual national campaign entitled “Attention: children are on the road!”. This so-called “Lesson on security” was organized by Ukraine’s State Automobile Inspectorate (SAI) and the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine, with support from the Foxtrot group of companies.

- EU LAUNCHES NATIONAL INDUSTRY AWARD CONTEST FOR 2011
EEF would like to remind readers that on 30 June 2011 the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the EU Delegation to Ukraine announced the launch of a contest for Ukrainian businesses with the best approach to equal opportunity employment. The contest aims to choose the employer who best ensures equal opportunities for men and women. This contest will also help the greater public and employers in general better understand gender issues in society.
- SCM REVIEWS CARBON DIET CONTEST RESULTS
In late July the Carbon Diet contest for journalists launched on 26 April 2011 by SCM came to an end. Journalists had to take a test on a Carbon Footprint Calculator, record their results and realize any action during a week to reduce personal CO2 emissions. Later they had to write a story about the outcomes and the emotions and publish them in print edition or a personal blog.
- MTS UKRAINE AWARDS WINNERS OF ‘PROFESSIONALS OF THE FUTURE 2011′ CONTEST
In late July MTS Ukraine awarded the winners of a national contest called “Professionals of the Future 2011″, which is part of its long-term program in support of students. The program, being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Ukraine, combines the educational process, scholarships from MTS and internships in the company.
- CENTRE FOR CSR DEVELOPMENT TO CONDUCT WORKSHOP
On 12 August 2011 experts from the Starget PR-agency will conduct a workshop on creating effective presentations. All participants will have an opportunity to learn more about preparing presentations and get practical advice on presentation content, creation and various forms of presentation skills.
- KYIVSTAR TO PUBLISH MANUAL ABOUT CHILD SAFETY ONLINE
Kyivstar invites Ukrainians to take part in the preparation of a manual on child safety, which aims to encourage proper attitude towards safety online and teach how to use publicly accessible resources properly.
- DTEK, USAID TO START ENERGY-EFFICIENCY PROJECTS
On 25 July City Council of Kyiv and the USAID Municipal Heating Reform (MHR) Project signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in improvement of the heating system and energy efficiency of Kyiv city.
- UNDP, ILO LAUNCHED NATIONAL CONTEST FOR CSR AMONG EMPLOYERS
EEF would like to remind readers of the national contest among employers to reward progressive businesses for their hiring practices as regards corporate social responsibility. The contest has been launched by the UNDP in Ukraine and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
