“G8 countries condemn in the strongest terms the deadly terrorist attack that struck Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
They offer their condolences and express their deepest sympathy to the families of the many victims. They assure the authorities of the Russian Federation of their solidarity in these tragic times and stand united in their commitment to bring perpetrators of such barbarous acts to justice.
Nothing can ever justify such massive violence. G8 countries, in cooperation with the entire international community, reiterate their utmost determination to work together to combat and prevent terrorism and violent extremism and the conditions conducive to their spread.
They underscore the priority given to enhancing their cooperative action and partnership aimed at fighting terrorism in accord with the UN Global Counterterrorism Strategy and related Security Council resolutions.”
Reazione del Ministero degli Esteri:
"Fermissima condanna per il grave attentato" che ha avuto luogo oggi all’aeroporto Domodedovo di Mosca è stata espressa dal Ministro degli Esteri Franco Frattini, che ha definito l’attacco un atto "barbaro e ingiustificabile".
Esprimendo alle Istituzioni e a tutta la popolazione russa, a nome dell’Italia, il suo cordoglio per il grave lutto che ha colpito il Paese, il Ministro Frattini ha anche sottolineato la piena solidarietà al Governo russo nella lotta contro il terrorismo.

I am shocked by the terrorist attack at Moscow’s busiest airport. I strongly condemn this horrific act. I express my condolences to the families of those killed and injured and to the Russian people.
We are in this fight together. This is why in the NATO-Russia Council we have to strengthen our cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
This is a common threat that we have to face united. NATO expresses its solidarity with the Russian people and Government.

- VILNIUS, 24 January 2011 – The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, condemned today’s terrorist attack in Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, and offered his condolences and support to the Russian people and government.
"I offer my deepest condolences to the families of those killed, and wish the many injured a quick recovery,” said Ažubalis. “There can be no justification for a brutal attack on innocent civilians. I offer my support to the Russian people and government at this difficult time."

Catherine Ashton, the EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission, made today the following statement:
"I strongly condemn today’s murderous attack at the Moscow’s Domodedovo airport that claimed the lives of at least 30 people and wounded more than 130.
I express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to the Russian government. Innocent travellers have been killed by this brutal, random attack.
The European Union condemns all acts of terrorism, and expresses its solidarity with the Russian people."
