Julia Ziganshina is singer, the performer of old and contemporary Russian romances and kind of "retro" songs. She was born in Kazan. Violoncellist by education she perfected herself as a guitar player and a vocalist for several years. She met her first big success spring 1998 having become "Romansiada - 98" (All Russia Young Russian Romance Performers Competition) laureate.

Since that time Julia Ziganshina often performs in a variety of Russia concert halls, including State concert hall "Russia", Kolonni zal Doma Sojusov, Chaikovsky P.I. concert hall, Music house etc.

"Ability to deliver great and rich variety of feelings appealing to the listener is the young singer’s main advantage. Julia’s singing is full of deep and strong passion, endless tenderness, bright temperament and intelligence" ("Trud" newspaper February 5, 2000). Julia frequently successfully performed in Germany, France, Polland and Israel. There is "A Julia Ziganshina club "Kasanski Romance" in Kazan where romance singers from Kazan, Moscow and other cities perform. "Sibirsky trakt" studio issued twelve albums of romances and songs performed by Julia Ziganshina. Three album was issued in Poland.

Julia’s repertoire contain several different programs of romances from classic to domestic, a program of "retro" songs, European songs of XVI-XVIII centuries and modern bard songs.
